In this page you find certificates which assess some of my competences.
I have a strong attitude to learn new things and I have a very curious mind. During my free time, I like to to read and follow courses in order to enrich myself. Furthermore, I express my interest for research and development by taking part to the review process of scientific articles for international journals and conferences. The following certificates are a proof of my dedication to these activities:
-
Machine Learning – Stanford University – Online course by Coursera:
this course gives an introduction to machine learning, datamining, and statistical pattern recognition. Topics include: (i) Supervised learning (parametric/non-parametric algorithms, support vector machines, kernels, neural networks). (ii) Unsupervised learning (clustering, dimensionality reduction, recommender systems, deep learning). (iii) Best practices in machine learning (bias/variance theory; innovation process in machine learning and AI). The course will also draw from numerous case studies and applications, so that you’ll also learn how to apply learning algorithms to building smart robots (perception, control), text understanding (web search, anti-spam), computer vision, medical informatics, audio, database mining, and other areas. At this link you find the certificate earned after passing all the graded assignments of the course.
-
Deep Learning Explained – Microsoft – Online course by edX:
this course enables engineers / data scientists / technology managers to develop an intuitive understanding of the key concepts behind this game changing technology. At the same time, it teaches a simple yet powerful “motifs” that can be used with lego-like flexibility to build an end-to-end deep learning model. It teaches how to use the Microsoft Cognitive Toolkit — previously known as CNTK — to harness the intelligence within massive datasets through deep learning with uncompromised scaling, speed, and accuracy. At this link you find a certificate which assesses the competences obtained by this course.
-
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe):
The Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) is a way of working which aims to help businesses to face the challenge of delivery high-class software in the shortest sustainable lead time. It is a freely revealed, online knowledge base of proven success patterns, for people building the world’s most important software and systems. This certificate assesses my competence about this way of working.

Ocean Engineering – Journal of Elsevier:
Ocean Engineering provides a medium for the publication of original research and development work in the field of ocean engineering. Ocean Engineering seeks papers in several topics, for instance, Underwater Technology including:
AUV/ROV design;
AUV/ROV hydrodynamics;
maneuvering and control; and underwater-specific communicating and sensing systems for AUV/ROVs. My activity as a reviewer for this journal is shown by the certificates which can be found at this links (url1, url2).
